Love Boat Sushi is owned and operated by the Pyo family -- James, and wife, Jenny. At 19, James started working in his family's seafood restaurant, where he learned first-hand the many different ways to prepare fish -- baked, steamed, raw, and live.

Six years later, James and his brother, Sam, moved to Southern California in pursuit of the American Dream. Together, they opened their first sushi restaurant in Temecula, the Love Boat Sushi Bar. Soon thereafter, they sold the successful restaurant and went their separate ways.

Sam returned to Irvine where he opened the highly acclaimed Mitsui Japanese restaurant and James, to Oceanside, where he and Jenny opened the notable Love Boat Sushi Restaurant.

Love Boat Sushi’s philosophy has always revolved around three things for practical business purposes and for good feng shui:

• Sight -- Special presentation of each entrée.
• Sound -- Treat customers as friends and family, laugh, enjoy live music, and have fun!

They have perfected the harmony and transcended as their business continues to grow and they expand to a new location in San Marcos, where they hope to continue to indulge their customers.
